Cancer has or will impact you in some point in your life time. For me, it included my own cancer scare (including 2 surgeries and continued follow up appointments multiple times a year) as well as taking the life of my amazing grandfather in 2018 and my late step father in 2008. It can strike at any age, any gender, any socio-economic status... It doesn’t care about your family or friends. It doesn’t care about what it takes from us — or who it leaves behind.
Personally, I have had enough with cancer negatively impacting our lives. I'm tired of the bad news, the tears, the pain, and the struggling... But here is an opportunity to put a positive spin on talking about the "C word". I want to make a difference in cancer research and bringing an end to this devastating disease. That’s why I am participating in The Ride For Roswell on Saturday, June 22.
Although I may not be a Buffalo native and my family did not receive treatment or support from Roswell, I do know what it is like to require the assistance from donations and volunteers in the cancer community and at cancer centers. Please help me raise critically needed funds to support the more than 50,000 patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year. Your donation provides funding that researchers need in order to investigate new treatment options that could save lives in our community and around the world. For every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding!
Please consider making a donation today to help find cures. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can help one another. Together, we can stop cancer.
